Named for a Marine who fell to post-deployment illness,
the Sergeant Sullivan Center (SSC) strives to improve health after deployment through Awareness, Research, and Connection.

The SSC is dedicated to improving health outcomes for current and former military personnel, especially those who are suffering from emerging, complicated, or currently unexplained post deployment health concerns.

Advancing Research & Education

The Sergeant Sullivan Center was a major supporter of the first scientific symposium on lung health after deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan, and continues to support provider and patient education on deployment health science.

Fostering Connection

SSC Annual Events have brought providers, researchers, and patients together to form networks of support and communication, and SSC events will continue to do so.
